Cytodiagnosis of metastasis of malignant melanoma in the liver in the material obtained by ordinary injection needle (Serbocroatian)

Abstract

By use of an ordinary injection needle it was possible to draw sufficient hepatic tissue for the cytologic diagnosis of metastatic malignant melanoma of the liver in a patient whose severe condition precluded the insertion of a thick biopsy needle. In such severe cases the use of an ordinary injection needle is recommended for aspiration biopsy of the liver.
