Abstract
A man with a spindle cell sarcoma of the stomach is still alive 30 years after pure surgical excision of the tumor at 20 years of age. Twenty years after the partial lower gastrectomy he developed a liver metastasis treated by left lobe hepatectomy and he has been followed up for 10 years since this operation. This represents an exceptional case of leiomyosarcoma with a favorable course.
