Operative procedures in the management of liver hydatidoses

Abstract

Scintiscanning and laboratory and clinical examinations in most cases lead to accurate preoperative hydatid cyst diagnosis and reveal the localization of the cyst in the liver. Selecting the adequate operative procedure and taking all precautions to prevent contamination during surgery, ensure good results and minimize the incidence of postoperative complications. Experience with 204 patients is presented. © 1982 Société Internationale de Chirurgie.
