Abstract

A series of 109 diabetics with peripheral vascular lesions was studied. Most of these patients suffered from coexisting diabetes and arteriosclerosis. Only 15 patients had specific diabetic angiopathy. The general treatment of the basic disease and necrectomies or amputation was used for pure diabetic angiopathy; in combined forms of the disease, reconstructive surgery was performed, in addition to general therapy (6 patients).
