At the operation a three-locular cyst of the left adrenal gland was entirely removed with all surrounding organs undamaged. The postoperative recovery was uneventful. Histological examination showed a pseudocyst probably of posthaemorrhagic origin. Blood pressure dropped to normal and left abdominal pain disappeared.
