The isolated strain was susceptible to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, erythromycin, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin and vancomycin and resistant to gentamicin, clindamycin, rifampicin, methicillin, ampicillin and ceftriaxone. The multiresistance of the strain had a serious impact on the prolonged course of the infection.
